The body of Michael Jackson will be transported to the Neverland ranch on July 2 for a public viewing on July 3. Yes, fans of the King of Pop will have the chance to see his body in the Michael Jackson public viewing, CNN reported. Jackson will be buried on Sunday. The burial place is not yet known as of now. The funeral service on Sunday will also be private.

My wife tells me that it's too early to buy Xbox 360 for our little boy. But he's our only child so I guess he must have things that would make him happy. Mutant Chronicle overview:

At the end of the Ice Age, The Machine came from the outer space with the purpose to change men into mutants. However, a hero defeated the device and a great seal was laid over The Machine. In 2707, the depleted world is ruled by four Corporations: Mishima, Bauhaus, Capitol and Imperial that are in constant war. During a battle between Capitol and Bauhaus, the great seal is broken and The Machine works again transforming soldiers and civilians in hordes of mutants. A small part of the population escapes to Mars, leaving millions of people behind. The man of faith and leader of an ancient brotherhood Brother Samuel is a believer of God and the Chronicles, a bible about the mutants. With the city under siege of the mutants, he visits the Corporations’ leader Constantine asking for an aircraft and twenty men for a suicide mission to destroy The Machine, planting a bomb and a detonator following the knowledge of the Chronicles. He recruits the tough Major ‘Mitch’ Hunter; the Bauhaus Lieutenant Maximillian von Steiner; the keeper of the Chronicles Severian that is under a vow of silence; the gorgeous and lethal Corporal Valerie Duval; Corporal Juba Kim Wu; Captain John McGuire; and Corporal Jesus ‘El Jesus’ de Barrera. Together they become the last hope of Earth against the evil mutants.

There are many speculations regarding the real cause of death of the King of Pop. Although it was initially reported that he died of heart attack (in some reports it is cardiac arrest, which is not exactly like heart attack) many are still thinking that something not right had happened. Why are these speculations coming out? First, it is because it is a known fact that Michael Jackson was poised at having a come back this year and he has gone through an extensive physical examination which showed that he was physically fit for the rigors of performing on stage. The 50 year old singer wouldn't have planned a comeback if he was not that well. Anyways, this is just again, mere speculations, what will clear the air is the Michael Jackson autopsy results which will come out today. After it comes out, everything would be clear, I guess.Or would it open more questions and controversies. That remains to be seen. Stay tuned.

Michael Jackson died. The King of Pop succomb to a heart attack, initial reports has it. But there are reports coming up that show that it is more complicated than that. Here is a detailed report from TMZ:

Update: TMZ has more information and it doesn't look good for the singer.

The 911 call came in at 12:21PM at his Holmby Hills home in L.A.
A Jackson family member tells TMZ Michael is in "really bad shape" and the brothers are headed to UCLA.
We just got off the phone with Joe Jackson, Michael's dad, who says "he is not doing well."
UPDATE 2: People Magazine has a quote from Michael's father, Joe.

"His mother is on her way to the hospital now to check in on him. I am not sure what's wrong. I am waiting to hear back from them."

Update 3: Sense of urgency around the pop star according to US Weekly.

According to X17, more than 10 members of Michael's entourage arrived at the UCLA Medical Center just after 1 p.m. PST after following the ambulance.

"They all got out of the SUVs in a panic and Michael was wheeled into the emergency room on a stretcher," the site reports. "There was definitely a sense of urgency and everyone looked worried."
Update 4: Now People is saying that he didn't have a heart attack - INSTEAD he was rushed to the hospital because he wasn't breathing.

UPDATE 5: TMZ is reporting that Michael Jackson has DIED.

Michael suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon and paramedics were unable to revive him. We're told when paramedics arrived Jackson had no pulse and they never got a pulse back.

UPDATE 6: Police are now putting up barracades around Michael Jackson's home to prevent fans from entering. It will also allow mourners to visit in an orderly fashion. I still can't believe it.

UPDATE 7: NBC News has confirmed that Michael Jackson has been pronounced dead. I'm not sure whether or not to believe until we have rep confirmation, but the LA Times is also reporting that he is dead.

At this time, we STILL DON'T HAVE A REP CONFIRMATION. However, so many major media outlets are going with this story which leads me to believe it has truly happened.

UPDATE 8: CNN is confirming the death. My thoughts are with Michael's children.

UPDATE 9: OK Magazine is saying the autopsy should occur tomorrow.

UPDATE 10: Hospital is about to hold a press conference.

UPDATE 11: LaToya was seen hysterical crying as she entered the hospital. And a staff member is said to be the one to call 911 from Michael's home.

Update 12: Al Shaprton has released a statement.

"Michael Jackson made culture accept a person of color," the Rev. Al Sharpton said. "To say an 'icon' would only give these young people in Harlem a fraction of what he was. He was a historic figure that people will measure music and the industry by."

Farrah Fawcett has been battling anal cancer in the last three years and it seems that the the former Charlie’s Angels star is letting go of her hold on life. Fawcett was re-admitted to hospital in California at the beginning of the week; family and friends gathered at the hospital and a priest was reportedly called to give Fawcett, a devout Catholic, her last rites. The Farrah Fawcett last rites is of course so painful to family and close friends of the actress, it could be a sign that the actress is nearing the end of her journey.

Rachel Hunter was dumped by her fiance just two month before their wedding day. The former super model is very devastaed by the very ungentlemanly act of her fiance, Jarret Stoll. Stoll has emailed their friends and the guests to the wedding telling them that the wedding has been canceled. Stoll did not provide any explanation why he canceled the wedding. A source close to rachel Hunter said:

“She is absolutely devastated. Everything was in place for their wedding - she had the venue, the designer dress, the guest list. She has absolutely no idea why Jarret has done this. It sounds like it could be a classic case of cold feet. He is a fair bit younger than her,”

Stoll is almost just half the age of Hunter, he is 27 and Hunter is 40.

When the video of an Iranian girl who was shot and killed during a protest in Iran hit the web last Saturday, many people from all over the world showed concern over what is happening in Iran. The Iranian people are also hoping that the world will see and that their struggle for change and freedom would be heard all over the world. I think the movie was as close to perfect as you could get. The CGI effects are amazing, Shia is able to work in some subtle messages to the viewers and Megan Fox is a good role model for girls because she works on cars even though it makes her seem like she might be a lesbian.

There was news earlier on the website of the French newspaper Le Monde that French ships had picked up a signal from the Air France Flight 447 black boxes. But French officials said Tuesday that the signals did not come from the Air France black box. If the black boxes will be found, it would help solve the mystery of Air france Flight 447 crash. But so far, there is no trace of the black boxes.

I heard about Merlin on NBC and I found this on one of the blogs I came upon a while back:

Merlin on NBC and it seems to be the story of Merlin from the King Arthur days - but it makes Merlin and Arthur about the same age. For the purpose of the series it is late teens, I think. The show is a BBC import and looks to be good. It will last for 13 episodes and tonight (Sunday) there are two episodes airing back to back.

Iran is in turmoil and a full blown revolution is impending. Here is an article written by an Iranian student about how the world sees them now and about how he sees it. His identity is not revealed for reasons of his safety:

WE look over this wall of marching people to see what our friends in the United States are saying about us. We cannot help it — 30 years of struggle against the Enemy has had the curious effect of making us intrigued. To our great dismay, what we find is that in important sectors of the American press a disturbing counternarrative is emerging: That perhaps this election wasn’t a fraud after all. That the United States shouldn’t rush in with complaints of democracy denied, and that perhaps Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is the president the Iranian people truly want (and, by extension, deserve).

Do not believe it. Those so-called experts warning Americans to be leery of claims of fraud by the opposition are basing their arguments on an outdated understanding of Iran that has little to do with the reality of what we here are experiencing during these singular days.

For instance, some American analysts assert that the demonstrations are taking place only in the sections of Tehran — in the north, around the university and Azadi Square — where the educated and well-off reside. Of course, those neighborhoods were home to the well-to-do ... 30 years ago. The notion that these areas represent “the nice part of town” will come as a surprise to their residents, who endure the noise, congestion and pollution of living in the center of a megalopolis.

People who haven’t visited a city in decades are bound to give out bad directions. But their descriptions of where the protests are taking place, and why, also draw on pernicious myths of an iron correlation between religion and class, between location and voting tendency, in Iran.

This false geography imagines South Tehran and the countryside as home only to the poor, those natural allies of political Islam, while North Tehran embodies unbridled gharbzadegi (translated as “Weststruckness” or “Westernitis”) and is populated by people addicted to the Internet and vacations in Paris. It is as if political Islam withers north of Vanak Square and the only residents to be found are “liberals” who voted for the opposition leader, Mir Hussein Moussavi.

We must not assume that the engagement of members of society with their religion is uniform or that religious devotion equals automatic loyalty to a particular brand of politics. To do so is certainly to deny Iran’s poor the capacity to think for themselves, to deny that the politics of the past four years may have made their lives worse — and plays right into Mr. Ahmadinejad’s dubious claim to be the most authentic representative of the 1979 revolution. Mr. Moussavi was, let’s not forget, a favored son of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini and a member of Iran’s original cohort of revolutionaries, and he remains a firm believer in the revolution and the framework of the Islamic Republic.

But the United States seems able to view our country only through anxieties left over from the 1979 revolution. In the “how did we lose Iran?” assessments after the overthrow of the shah, many American intelligence agents and policy makers decided that their great mistake was to spend too much time canoodling with the royal family and intellectual elites of the capital. Commentators now are worried that, by siding with the opposition today, the United States will once again fall into the trap of backing the losing side.

While the majority of commenters on CNET and around the Web are reporting success in downloading iPhone OS 3.0 Wednesday, there were scattered reports of problems.

My colleague Stephen Shankland, a CNET News reporter, tried several times to download the OS update around 12 p.m. Pacific to his iPhone and received the same error message, pictured above, each time.

A handful of CNET commenters reported problems accessing iTunes. "I see that the upgrade is now available, but four times the message I get after a couple of minutes is that the download has 'timed out,'" said one reader, and another reported, "Same issue here, cannot connect to the iTunes store to activate so the phone won't work."
A quick perusal of Twitter showed a smattering of people with the same issue.

This, of course, is a repeat of what happened last year, when Apple's iTunes servers couldn't withstand the barrage of traffic when customers tried to update to iPhone 2.0 software at the same time new iPhone 3G buyers were attempting to activate their phones.

Update 12:45 p.m. PDT: Reader Michael Samstag wrote in to say his iPhone was rendered unusable when he tried to install the update. "It has the 'connect to iTunes' message and will only allow emergency calls," he says. "I signed up for the 'Apple callback' for tech support and they called back and put me on hold for 20-minutes. Then the call got disconnected and now the earliest callback time is between 6:15 p.m. EDT and 6:30 p.m. EDT. So, I'm looking at having no cell for a minimum of three hours, probably longer."

Gizmodo is also hearing reports of phones "bricked" from the update. We're still waiting for comment from Apple.

Update 1:05 p.m. PDT: We're also getting feedback about general sluggishness and intermittent problems accessing Apple's Mobile Me service. But it sounds like the situation isn't as bad as last year. That was when the simultaneous launch of the iPhone 3G and Mobile Me wreaked havoc on across Apple's servers and related Web services.
