This morning I have posted about the arrest of Randy Quaid and his wife Evie Quaid for burglary. Now here is the Randy Quaid mug shot.
Burglary may sound quite scary but no this is a special kind of burglary, the Quaids did not really break into a house to steal something, allegedly they just checked in some classy hotel, rack up an emormous bill then leave without paying. It turns out that the couple has allegedly been doing this for some time now and the detectives had been following their pattern and caught up on them now. But the celebrity couple sent two items to the celebrity gossip site TMZ.com as a way of voicing out their side:

1. A tongue-in-cheek, hand-written statement which says "this is all for PR" and that "I promise the state of California, Texas does not bother people over hamburgers ordered by room service, supposedly burglarized."
2. A copy of a cashier's check from the Quaids to the San Ysidro Ranch - the place where they allegedly skipped out on the bill - for $5,546.96.

Some people do things that can make you wonder why they do it. It seems quite crazy but some people do things. Look at Randy Quaid and his wife Evi Quaid,they got themselves arrested for burglary. But it's not the kind of burglary that you are probably imagining now. What's their modus operandi? They check in to expensive hotels and stiffing the places when they leave. They stay in high-class hotels and then leave without paying. That can be considered burglary. Randy Quaid and Wife Evi Quaid were arrested in west Texas and are now being investigated by detectives. Police believe the Quaids were scamming the San Ysidro Ranch because they have done it before - to the Bel Air Hotel in L.A., and many other classy hotels before. The detectives had actually been following them after a pattern of their behavior was established, they were just waiting for a perfect time to nail the two and now the time has come. The Quaids hasn't given their statement about the case yet. Their bail is set to $10,000 each.
