There once was a little boy who had a bad temper.
His Father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he
lost his temper, he must hammer a nail to the back of the fence.
The first day the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence.

Over the next few weeks, as he learned to control his anger, the number
of nails hammered daily gradually dwindled down.
He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence.
Finally the day came when the boy didn't lose his temper at all.
He told his father about it and the father suggested that the boy now pull out one nail for each day that he was able to hold his temper.

The days passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father that all the nails were gone.
The father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence. He
said, "You have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same.

"WHEN YOU SAY THINGS IN ANGER, THEY LEAVE A SCAR JUST LIKE THIS ONE."
You can put a knife in a man and draw it out.
It won't matter how many times you say I'm sorry,
"THE WOUND IS STILL THERE."
A verbal wound is as bad as a physical one. www.lyzrdstomp.com/tutorial_wood

Your friends and love ones are very jewels that we cherish, indeed.
They make you smile and encourage you to succeed.
They lend an ear, they share words of praise and they are willing to open their hearts to us.
Show your friends and love ones how much you love and care for them.

Send this to everyone you consider a FRIEND and LOVED ONE, even if it means sending it back to the person who sent it to you.
If it comes back to you, then you'll know you have a circle of friends.
YOU ARE MY FRIEND AND MY BELOVED ONE AND I AM HONORED!

Visiting my friend Maricris's blog made me smile. It brings memories of my childhood. We Filipinos really have siesta time. I remember when I was still small we have time to go to the beach every saturday in Dagupan City. We go to Sanfabian Beach( not the white sand type though). If not we go to the movies. It's a way of bonding time for our family. Also unwinding time for my parents. I enjoy those times c:

I decided to join in Maricris's Siesta Saturdays. Sounds fun and something to share around would be inspiring c: Thanx sis c:

Here's our question of the day:

What is your "security blanket" when you're feeling blue or lost ?

My security blanket is praying.
Makes me feel lighter because I get to pour out my hurts and fears to God.

I was blog hopping when I stumbled into this site where you get to make your own manga avatar. I've always wanted to have a caricature or a manga version of me c: I was so excited, so I tried it. You get to choose the facial features nearest yours and even your clothes and accessories etc. Finally I got it. Although this is what I want with my hair. When I was a teen I like short hair. I usually cut my hair short. Thanx to FaceYourManga . Go ahead and try it, it's fun c:

Hiyee friends...
I found this new keyboard style while blog hopping, I got this info from Kool Time. Thanx dear for the info.
There's a bit of confusion gone into the details of it.
They divided the key board and integrated the mouse with it.

But i don't know how practically good it is...

My husband is into digital arts. He likes doing magic with graphics and stuff. He loves reading books about graphic arts. He's got tons of it in his book shelves and in our PC's hard drive. He could spend hours in front of the computer creating digital masterpieces. He's now on the process of creating a blog or a website where he can put all the graphics he's created. He also encouraged me to try Photoshop. So I started taking lessons from him even if I was intimidated at first, what with the many tools and buttons that I need to know and understand. He's a good teacher because he was able to make me understand the otherwise difficult to understand Photoshop stuff like masking, layers, and the cheats that you can do with them. My first real Photoshop masterpiece is shown below. This image actually comes from two images. The first image is that of my son and the other image which is used as the background is from a a wall paper from my collection. I hope you like my first Photoshop masterpiece.

This is the original image

This is my first Photoshop masterpiece

I'll be posting more about my Photoshop journey in the future, so watch out for them :)

We have an only child, a boy who is so full of life. He is always full of energy, we do not know where he gets it. He is always everywhere in the house, putting his inquisitive little fingers on everything that is too fragile for his probings, we always feel as if we have a dozen kids. He is too much too often mischievous but we know that his nature is good. The mischief is just a spice that adds a different flavor to his sweetness. He probably just looks up to his daddy who too much too often teaches him some little ways of doing mischief the cute child's way. I have the feeling that his daddy was a mischievous child then. Our world revolves around him, every decision that we make is somehow influenced by his existence. He is our son, our only child, Joshua Daniel. We have a lot of dreams for him.

Every parent has dreams of their child being the best among the rest, the genius, the superkid. But where do we get the standard for the super kid? Do we have the super kid when our three-year-old flawlessly executes on violin Paganini's 5th Caprice like the way it is in some milk commercial on TV? Do we have the super kid when our three-year-old paints like Da Vinci? If we see it that way we will never have the super kid.

When Josh was around two his daddy said that by the age of three he should be able to play the guitar. But now our Josh seems to be more interested in percussion, he loves making good noise with his daddy's African drum. He would often choose the drums over the guitar when visiting the mall.

His daddy is an artist (he used to paint) so it is only natural for him to expect his son to become good at art too. When we bought him his first set of crayons (he was two then) we were somewhat disappointed to see that he was somehow not interested in drawing the shapes that we were trying to make him copy. But just a few months after that, when his daddy brought home a watercolor set, things changed. We saw our son's interest in that medium. It only took a couple of days before all the colors in the set were exhausted. Our little boy fell in love with the brush and the paint. He spent many hours experimenting with the different effects the wet brush could have on the paper. He ignored his playmates for the brush. We just watched our son enjoying his art.

Every day we discover something new about our boy, little things that make him our super kid. Now he is addicted to computer games and this has caused him to become better at his alphabet. In his favorite website, Miniclip.com, there is a list of more than a hundred games, anyone who wants to go back to a particular game must know how to read because to go to the game you need to click the name of the game in the list. My son has some favorite games of his in that site. He knows his alphabet but he is not that good at reading yet. His daddy found a very good opportunity to teach him how to read. Children learn when the motivation to learn something is there. My son is motivated to learn to read because of the game.

Now I realize that every child is a super kid. If we just learn how to see the little wonders that a child could learn and do every day, we will see the super kid in every child and we will be more fulfilled as parents.

I was visiting and making my rounds this morning when I stumbled upon this cool blog named Say Cheezee. I was thinking that it sounds like a sentimental blog because he/she ( no info in the profile about the gender of the owner of the blog) used the word Cheezee. For us Filipinos using the word cheezee reminds us of those sentimental movies...specifically romantic ones.

When I saw his/her actual blog I can't help but laugh and smile c: Such a cool blog my friend! I realize that what he/she means by the word cheezee was that he/she used the way people would ask their subjects in a photo shoot to smile by saying "Say Cheez".
For Say Cheezee blog 2 thumbs up. You made my day, you made me smile. A Definite WOW for me c:

Today I went to the market to buy vegetables and here's my list:

15 pesos - 4 pcs. corn (med)
7 - 4 pcs. carrots (med)
20 - 1 bunch cauliflower
20 - 1 pack young corn
5 - 1 tali of onion leeks
10 - 1 pack green beans
----
77 pesos

Wow I couldn't believe it at first because when I was in Luzon I couldn't buy vegies like cauliflower, young corn, and carrots that cheap. To think that these vegies are usually seen in the groceries and scarce in the wet market. If it's in the wet market it's expensive kasi kinukuha pa sa Baguio yan( is transported from Baguio). And so if it reaches our market it's expensive na kasi malayo pinangalingan. I think I paid for my moneys worth. Specially now that all prices are going up. c:

Our little gold fish seems sick. Stays in the bottom of the fish tank a lot. I noticed that since we started the business of having a gold fish and a few variety of fish in our house we had bought about 6 more. 2 varieties every month. Why? Because they died one by one. The root of the problem? Was that I kept on changing the tanks water 2x a week. Meaning we haven't got a filter to do all the cleaning. I thought it wasn't essential (thought it just now huh). Well our fishes were stressed and now I just bought them a filter and they seem relaxed now. Thank goodness for that c:

1Timothy 16:17 b
“…Do not trust in uncertain riches but in the living God”

Last year summer time the Lord made dadee well. Thank you for the people who prayed for him.
Last May were in a crisis again, dad hasn’t received his salary still. He should have received it at the end of the month. I cried and dad has experienced headaches due to high blood pressure (because of the situation). But the Lord reminded me when I leafed through Joshua’s picture bible exactly opening it at Noah’s story (Joshua’s favorite story by the way) where the rainbow was introduced. God reminded me not to trust on uncertain riches but on his promises. Truly the Lord has provided for us every single day.
I remember the day we got married; we had not spent from our pockets but from gifts of friends and relatives. It came out a blessing not only to us but also to every attendee’s as well. They were teary-eyed and truly celebrating with us.
The day josh came into the world we literally had no penny on our pockets. No stable job and still God was to the rescue. And now we have a stable job (?!) but still another uncertainty. Truly we should trust not on ourselves, our skills, our treasures, but on our living and loving God who provides all our needs.

I got this tag from Proud Mommy thanks so much c:

This was taken in Lake Sebu where we spent our 1st Christmas with my parents. I was 6 months pregnant with josh that time. Everything I felt was an amazement to me c: even the day I held my little boy finally in my arms c: Even now everyday spent with him is a surprise :)
