The Bataan Death March was an important part of the history of the world, especially to Filipinos and Americans. It was one of the darkest days of the Filipinos and Americans during the WWII. A new book about it was recently launched, “Tears in the Darkness: The Story of the Bataan Death March and its Aftermath." This book was written by Michael Norman and Elizabeth Norman in the span of 10 years. It took them hundreds of interviews to come up with something that was described by Associated Press' Richard Pyle as “an extremely detailed and thoroughly chilling treatment that, given the passage of time and thinning of ranks, could serve as popular history’s final say on the subject.”
