Lily Burk

Lily Burk, the 17-year-old daughter of Los Angeles journalist Greg Burk and Southwestern Law adjunct professor Deborah Drooz was found dead in her car this morning. She was slain. No suspects were arrested yet.

Here's part of the news article about it from LA Observer :

Lily Burk left their home in Los Feliz yesterday afternoon around 2:30 to do an errand. About an hour later, she made calls to both of her parents asking them how to get cash using her credit card at an ATM, according to police. It now appears that several attempts were made to withdraw cash at about that time. Police told the L.A. Times there is "strong evidence" indicating Lily was dead by 5 p.m. Her parents told the Times they believe police did not treat her disappearance with sufficient seriousness. "It pains me to contradict a grief-stricken mother," said Deputy Chief Sergio Diaz of the LAPD. "But this case was always taken very seriously."

I am making this my case. Lily's father Greg Burk is an old acquaintance of mine and I am taking a personal interest in this matter.

I agree with the mother. - this LAPD Officer says: "....we took it seriously." Sure you did - after the fact. 24 hours later, you're starting to give it some thought. Of course, it wasn't your child now was it.

This whole thing was the LAPD's fault according to Lily's mom. Of course Lily's mom hates the cops. I bet she will even sue the cops who arrested their daughter's killer for racial profiling because he was black. Lets not forget she is a BLEEDING HEART LIBERAL HOMELESS ADVOCATE who probably pushed her views to her dead daughter. Anyone forget Lily used an ATM that was one block away from Parker Center the LAPD headquarters? Lets not forget how busy 2nd St and San Pedro St is on a Saturday afternoon. Can you say "HELP?" Well mother nature has a way of taking care of the not so fit.

Can you imagine the reaction if Lily had been armed, told Samuel "Sure, I've got a couple of hundred in my purse, and I'll just get that out and give it to you." Then pull out a small automatic (note to libs: when discussing handguns, an "automatic" is not a machinegun) and unloaded 5 rounds on him.

Ya think that would have changed the outcome some?

Then can you imagine the firestorm of protest against *her* for shooting "that poor man"?

All academic, since good, law-abiding 17-year-old girls in LA can't carry guns.

Guess that's the price they have to pay so liberals can have a law that keeps criminals from carrying guns too.

Wait, what's that? You say criminals carry *anyway*? The deuce you say! (Duh--do you expect a criminal to have any regard for obeying your laws?). And even without a gun, a 250-pound guy with a knife--or even fists--can kill a 17-year-old girl every time.

Oh, never mind. Libs don't get it, won't get it, can't get it--until it's *your* daughter. Maybe not even then.
