Here's an article about Meyer's announcement of his intention to step down as Florida head coach :
Florida Coach Urban Meyer announced Saturday that he was stepping down because of health reasons, a stunning move that will end his career with the Gators after the Sugar Bowl on Jan. 1.
Meyer, 45, has been one of the most successful coaches in modern college football, winning two of the past three national titles with the Gators. A Florida spokesman, Steve McClain, said Meyer did not have a life-threatening illness and that his decision was more about his lifestyle and his family. He was hospitalized for dehydration hours after the Southeastern Conference title game Dec. 5.
“It’s not like he’s been diagnosed with a disease,” McClain said. “It’s related to his ability to handle the stress. He only knows one way to go.”
The news that Urban Meyer is leaving Florida is sad for Florida football program, but the man needs some break, and he has done a great job being head coach.
