Gertrude Baines, the world's oldest person, died today at a Los Angeles hospital. She was 115. Although Baines was the world's oldest person until today, the longest lived person was Jeanne Louise Calment of France of who has lived up to the age of 122.
Baines was a native of Shellman, Georgia, she was born on was born April 6, 1894. During that time the flag of the USA had only 44 stars.
