Hank Moody strives to raise his daughter Becca after Karen move back to New York. But he finds it hard to to be the best dad, and an unmarried one at that. To make matters more difficult, Becca's best friend is proving to be a bad influence, she loves everything that makes a teenager dangerous--s-ex, drugs and everything that makes parents worry about their teens. The mother of Chelsea, a teacher, invites Hank to a dinner. Hank accepts it but with some reluctance. Hank tries his best to mix in with other guests in the dinner.
