Flashpoint is about a team called the Strategic Response Unit or SRU which is an elite tactical unit in a Canadian metropolitan police force. This team is tasked to help resolve situations that are deemed impossible for the common police force to solve. The members of the SRU are expert in handling hostage takings, terrorist attacks, and situations that are demed difficult to handle. The SRU team is equipped with high-end tools, gadgets, and weaponry. Not only in fighting that the members of SRU are expert at, they are alos good at negotiations.
