When I opened the admin panel of this blog a while ago, I got the shock of my life. A message that looks so loud and deadly is in my dashboard, it says:
"This blog has been locked due to possible Blogger Terms of Service violations. You may not publish new posts until your blog is reviewed and unlocked.
This blog will be deleted within 20 days unless you request a review."
I said whaaaattt? Did I do something very bad that warrants the deletion of this blog? This is unfair, the almost two years of hard work would just go down the drain? My goodness? I tried my best to make this blog good but I just suddenly get a message like this? Did I infringe something? But I am quite careful with what I post. When there is a need for me to copy some portion from other people's sites, I make sure that it's blockquoted and I clearly say where I have taken it. Did I embed a copyrighted video? But I guess every video that has the embed button on it is safe to embed in my post, everyone's doing it.
My mind is full of questions right now. But then I saw a clickable text below the scary message from Google on my dashboard, the message says, "Request for a review." So I clicked it and there, something came somewhat clear. Google spam-prevention robots have mistaken this blog as a splog, or spam blog because of the frequency with which I post here, the robots probably think that my posts are automated. After I clicked "Request for a review" I was prompted to fill in a captcha, Google wants to make sure that I am not a robot. And because I am not a robot, I was successful in sending the request for review. Now, a human being and not a robot would look at this blog, I hope he or she will see that this is not a spam blog. Here is the message that came up after I sent the request for review:
Blogger's spam-prevention robots have detected that your blog has characteristics of a spam blog. (What's a spam blog?) Since you're an actual person reading this, your blog is probably not a spam blog. Automated spam detection is inherently fuzzy, and we sincerely apologize for this false positive.
We received your unlock request on August 5, 2009. On behalf of the robots, we apologize for locking your non-spam blog. Please be patient while we take a look at your blog and verify that it is not spam.

Now, I am really crossing my fingers and hoping that this blog won't be deleted by Google. What will you advice me? Should i move this blog to one of my WordPress blogs waiting to be filled? But I am sleepy now, it's 2 in the morning so probably i'd do the move morrow.Labels: blogger
