Earlier, there were unconfirmed reports that DJ AM was found dead. Now the rep of the celebrity disc jockey DJ AM has just issued a statement that confirms his death :

"Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein was found deceased this afternoon in his New York City apartment. The circumstances surrounding his death are unclear. Out of respect for his family and loved ones, please respect their privacy at this time."

Some sources are saying that DJ AM was not seen for many days prior to his death so a friend went to check on him. The friend was not able to enter DJ AM's apartment because no one opened the door even if the friend knock on it for long. So the friend called the police but it was the friemen who came and entered the apartment. They found the disc jockey's dead body. Drug paraphernalia was also found in the apartment.
