Tornado Warning Santa Clara. There is a tornado warning for Santa Clara County and Santa Cruz County in northern California that was issued yesterday by the National Weather Service. Here is an article about it from WireUpdate.com:

The National Weather Service on Wednesday issued a tornado warning for Santa Clara County and Santa Cruz County in northern California.

The warning, which includes the city of Morgan Hill, is set to expire at 2.30 p.m. PST.

At 2.02 p.m. PST, the National Weather Service doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado moving northeast at 35 miles per hour. "This storm may produce quarter size hail," the weather agency said in a bulletin.

The safest place to be during a tornado is in a basement. Get under a workbench or other piece of sturdy furniture. If no basement is available, seek shelter on the lowest floor of the building in an interior hallway or room such as a closet. Use blankets or pillows to cover your body and always stay away from windows.
